For financial services records, we are required under the PCMLTFA and FINTRAC regulations to retain transaction records, client identification records, and copies of reports submitted to FINTRAC for a minimum of five years from the date the record was created or the report was submitted. We may retain certain records for longer periods where required by other applicable laws or regulations.
When personal information is no longer required, we will securely destroy, erase, or anonymize it.
